Is this site secure?
The goal of Americart security is to achieve one thing:
Deliver credit card information from the customer to the
merchant with the minimum possibility of exposure to prying
eyes. Our primary tool for this is the utilization of secure
data encryption. We encrypt the information between the customer
and the cart, and then you retrieve credit card information the
same way. Although orders are emailed to you in the clear, we
strip off the credit card number, which you then retrieve
through your secure browser, thus completing the secure path.
Once you reach the shopping cart check out, you will notice the
"lock" symbol on the lower right hand corner of your screen.
This indicates that the personal information you provide us for
your order remains private and secure. In no way do we provide
or sell any of your information to any other organization for
any reason. All of your information remains internal for your
privacy and protection. We value your business and stand behind
"customer privacy and security".

What's the difference between OEM, Compatible and Remanufactured
Cartridges?
-> OEM Cartridges:
OEM is an abbreviation for Original Equipment Manufacturer.
These manufacturers produce the replacement ink or toner for
copiers or printers and normally will put the manufacturer's
name on the product, such as Canon, IBM, Sharp, Lexmark,
Brother, Epson, etc.
-> Compatible Cartridges:
Generic cartridges are specially manufactured to meet or exceed
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and high
standards of quality and reliability and offer high-quality
printing results. Manufactured 100% brand new, containing only
new components, they are an economical alternative to expensive
name-brand cartridges and supplies, and allow for big savings
over brand-name cartridges and supplies. The use of Generic
replacement cartridges does not void Printer Warranty, which is
proven by the following US Congress New Legislation!
-> Remanufactured Cartridges:
Remanufactured cartridges have been recycled to meet or exceed
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. The
recycling and reprocessing process involves disassembling,
inspecting, cleaning, replacing worn parts, reassembling, and
filling the toner or ink. Once the remanufacturing process is
complete, the cartridge is then print tested, sealed, and
packaged for resale.
Will using
Compatible/Remanufactured cartridges void the warranty of my
printer?
No, the use of Compatible/Remanufactured replacement
cartridges does not void your Printers Warranty, which is
proven by the following US Congress New Legislation!
MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY
IMPROVEMENT ACT
United States Code Annotated
Title 15 Commerce and Trade
Chapter 50 Consumer Product Warranties
15 Section 2302
“(c) No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his
written or implied warranty of such product on the consumer's
using, in connection with such product, any article or service
(other than article or service provided without charge under
the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade
or corporate name; except that the prohibition of this
subsection be waived by the commission if:
1) The warrantor satisfies the Commission that the warranted
product will function properly only if the article or service
so identified is used in connection with the warranted
product, and
2) the Commission finds that such a waiver is in the public
interest.”
This is your lifesaver for purchasing your inkjet cartridges
at wholesale prices. Under no circumstances may any company or
associate, salesperson or service technician deny you service
or warranty work that would otherwise be covered under the
warranty program.

There are nearly 100 cartridge styles. Which ones can we recycle?
There are over 500
printing devices which use ink jet cartridges, including printers,
plotters, fax machines, multi-function machines and other special
equipment. However, there are far fewer cartridge styles since
many printer models use the same cartridge styles. Recycling is
offered for all popular cartridges and many other styles that are
still in use.
Not all cartridges can be recycled. Unserviceable rates vary
widely by cartridge style and condition with single color black
virgin cartridges having the highest success rates. On the average
90-95% of all virgin single color cartridges can be serviced. As
the cartridges age, this percentage gets lower. Cartridges with
the highest “unserviceable” rates include most tri-chamber color
cartridges due to their design. An example of this is the
HP51629A cartridge. Certain “sponge-style” cartridges such as the
Canon BC-02 also have higher “unserviceable rates” than liquid ink
cartridges as the HP51626A.
-
How long will it take to recycle my inkjet cartridges?
Target turnaround time
for JetPak Mailers is 24-72 hours from date of receipt with many
common cartridges being returned the same day as received.
-
Does the use of recycled ink jet cartridges void the warranty of
my printer?
In a Warranty Statement
dated December 1993, Hewlett-Packard clarifies it’s position on
warranties. “For HP products, the use of non-HP cartridge or a
refilled print cartridges does not affect either the warranty to
the customer or any HP support contract with the customer.”
-
How long does it take when a new cartridge hits the market before
it can be recycled?
There are dozens of new
ink jet printing devices being manufactured and sold today. Many
of these new models have cartridge styles that are also new to the
market. New cartridge styles usually mean the development of new
inks. It takes 3-6 months after a new cartridge hits the market
to develop and test inks for new styles.
-
How many pages will my recycled cartridge print?
The amount of ink in a
cartridge along with other printing factors determines how many
pages a cartridge will print. Each OEM (original equipment
manufacturer) cartridge comes with a specific amount of ink when
new – that’s the same amount of ink used in a recycled cartridge.
All cartridges are carefully weighed to be sure they meet these
weight specifications.

Return of Recycled Cartridges – General Information
Cartridges which
develop problems may be returned subject to the following
general conditions” 1) Cartridges which are more than 75% used
may not be returned as defective. 2) Cartridges, which are
tampered with after receipt, may not be returned.
-
Procedure for the Return of Defective Recycled Cartridges
Return your defective
cartridges as “defective.” If you use a large cartridge style
that will not fit in a JetPak Mailer, contact your dealer for a
“Return Mailer.” Return Mailers will be sent only to the
individual or company originally mailing the JetPak for
processing. Upon receipt, the returned cartridge will be
inspected and tested. If it is found to be serviceable, it will
be repackaged and returned. If the cartridge is found defective
and meets all other warranty conditions, you will receive a
certificate to recycle another cartridge at no charge.
Certificates may be used to send an “extra” cartridge in any
future mailer.
All ink jet cartridges will “wear out” eventually. If
your cartridge is found to be unserviceable, it will not be
replaced.
